Choose your shoes…
For a colourful wedding then a choice of shoes other than ivory is perfect. If you have gone for a long wedding dress, a flash of colour as you walk down the aisle will create intrigue.

Colourful shoes work perfectly with a vintage style tea-dress which finishes mid-length, showing your playful side – and will look amazing coordinated with your flowers or the bridesmaids dresses. And there is no need to have towering heels either, as colour also comes in flats - great for a bride who is on her feet all day and wants to be able to dance the night away without horrific blisters!

If you want to be able to wear them again after the wedding then ivory bridal shoes really restrict what you can wear them with – plus they will get dirty SO fast and be a nightmare to clean… so to reduce the ‘cost-per-wear’ go for a pair you will wear again and again…
Two great places to get colourful flat shoes that are both stylish and eco friendly are Beyond Skin and TraidRemade.
TRAIDremade have just released their new recycled shoe range with the star attraction being the Golightly Zip pump (right) made using vintage reclaimed textiles – black silk pump with fuscia pink zip bow detailing finished with a vintage button – perfect for the brides shoes or bridesmaids.
Beyond Skin have a fantastic range of vegan shoes including some amazing colours which come in heels or flats – but we love the Sole range (currently reduced to £39) of flats in seemingly any colour of the rainbow – so no need to fork out for bespoke dyeing…
